Well the R9 arrived today so I went to the range and hit a few balls and I was very impressed with it, after a few alterations I decided on a neutral upright slight left setting and the accuracy was unbelievable, I've seem to have lost a few yards in length but I can live with that if I can keep the ball on the fairway as most of my higher scores are from OB shots from the tee. I will play Sunday so i'll get a better feel for it then but at the moment i'm chuffed to bits.

I hit it at the TM demo day last week and after the big build up I was actually a little disappointed in it. Its not a bad driver but I'd prefer to keep my R7 Limited or if I am looking to invest elsewhere would think a G15 would be better.

I tried the fairway versions too but to be fair the idea of changing the set ups on these as well seems a bit anorakish even by my standards!

I can understand getting the set up right on the driver especially as the technology can cover some swing flaws, but if you are struggling to hit 3 and 5 woods off the tee then there is a problem with the swing that obviously translates elsewhere in the bag and can't be remedied by chaning the loft or lie ont he irons as needed
