I give up, I'm finished with my national team after that squad for Wednesday. We need fresh blood not idiots and washed up clowns like Alan Hutton, Christophe Berra, Caldwell, Andy Webster, and Miller. Kris Commons is 30 this year, he aint going to be around for the next qualification. Jesus wept.

Add in Adam, Burke and Lee Wallace its a mockery.

Surely its a meaningless friendly that gives a new manager chance to look at different players. I'd wait and see who he calls up in the next qualifier before worrying too much. Exactly its meaningless therefore no excuse not to blood players like Johnny Russell, Mackay-Steven, Danny Wilson, Tony Watt etc etc.


Sad sad state of affairs and I can see a crowd of less than 5000 at Pittodrie on Wednesday.

I was really dissapointed with the selection of the squad, we have some exciting young players and he picks a load of old dross and a 3rd Division player.

Mostly agree with you. This is the time to show the failures the door and bring the next generation in but, amazingly, they're still claiming we can qualify.

I was glad to see Wallace in the squad, if only to see if he's still able to play at this level despite being in div 3; on today's evidence it seems not!

With levein we were heading to a tiny crowd for this game but being at pittodrie and the first game for the ex-dons heroes management team I'd expect a decent crowd.

100% agree.

Brazil is out of the question so we should be starting a much needed transition period. Craw has already named a small pool of players that should be getting their chance to step up to national level.

The squad is littered with players that have been given umpteen chances for Scotland and have time and time again let the nation down.
