Jus seen a video of galatasary fans waiting mob handed at the airport for them!
Disgusting creatures galatasary fans!
Hope all English fans return safe and sound. I'm all for verbal banter with the mancs but never what they are about to get.

I can safely say if we ever ended up with galatasary away I wouldn't even consider going
 
I went in about 2001, had no bother at all.

We holed up in a 5 star hotel, but went to some of the local places the night before the game, no bother. In fact loads said that they loved Liverpool, same in marmaris in 2005.

I don't want to get into the rights and wrongs of the Leeds situation, as it was disgusting. All I will say is that the Turks are very proud of their flag.

Was late getting to OT one new years day many years ago, the only turnstile still open was the away end."you from liverpool lads?"
no, were just late, " you dont wanna come in here", we went in , john barnes scored first, then utd got 3, beardsmore , sharpe,i think, and some body else , cant remember. he was right we didnt wanna be in there . scary, but anyway CL, you'll be fine for a while yet.

I went last time 19 years ago I can't believe it's that long! Luckily I skipped the trip which had the trouble and ended with deportation for the whole plane load. Went on an official club trip and it was a hell hole we were bricked within 100 yards of the stadium on the way home even after losing.
Vowed never to go back and I won't be, those who have gone will all have a trouble free trip hopefully and proper protection by the police if needed. Afraid it's fingers crossed though.

Unusual, the away end for United v Liverpool used to normally be all ticket in them days.
 
Biggest annoyance for the manc fans will be paying out all that dosh with the risk of trouble to watch the reserves most of the first team haven't travelled
 
Turkey is nowhere near as bad as the tv reporters bull it up to be. If you go looking for trouble there then you will get it, pretty much like any other place.

Belgrade is worst place ive been, they were just wrong.

It was one of the best atmospheres I've ever been to though, I think it only held about 22,000 by the time we went, as had become all seater (well benches), but everyone of them sung their hearts out.

Possibly beaten by Genoa away in about 1992, but that held 40,000.

definately agree with this you cannot fault the atmosphere and it was like it from 3hours plus before kick off and non stop until the end.

Have you seen Besiktas at home, I never went, watched it on the telly when they played Liverpool.

Now they do sing, bounce, dance - crazy.

I went when Bolton played there. Was best atmosphere ive ever seen, syncronised chanting for hours and rocking the whole stadium. Was in the local pubs with their fans before and after and no bother. They were in the ground silly early as well, remember getting around the stadium a couple of hours before due kick off time and i thought they kicked off already! :)

I've been past the ground twice, it's near the river, but sadly no match on each time.

Now talking hate - go to Juventus away with Liverpool.

There was - I was very much the worst for wear, and it took me 10 minutes to find my match ticket at the turnstiles. At one point it looked like the bizzies weren't going to let me in. Luckily found it in the end.

Otherwise, locked outside that ground - not were you want to be, believe me.
