Just wanted to post and wish Roger, "Leftie", well next Wednesday. He's having a much needed operation on his shoulder which is going to put him out of action for at least a couple of months, maybe even longer.
I've met quite a few guys off the forum, and have had the pleasure of playing with Roger on a number of occasions.
I've got to be honest....he's one of lifes gentlemen and it's always a delight to be on a golf course with him. I've never seen him lose his rag or get down. And he's always first to the bar.
Good luck Rog. I hope that your operation and the subsequent recovery go well mate.

;) ;) ;)

Thanks for all the kind wishes guys.

Provided they don't find anything untoward that needs more invasive surgery then it shouldn't be to bad. I've been told though that I can expect to be out of action (golf, squash, etc) for a minimum of 2 - 3 months.

Think I might go stir crazy. Let me out! Let me out!

I won't be able to drive for about 6 weeks - now that's a result :D - I haven't been able to do that well for quite some time now :D :D

I'll take care not to put any cards in while I'm off ;) ;) :p :p

Would also like to wish you all the best for the operation. I remember when I missed about 3 months of the football season (many moons ago) through injury, purgatory.

Good luck

Don't forget to explain your shot shape to the surgeon to see if he can do something about that whilst digging around in your shoulder, a nice penetrating draw should be ideal! :D

Wishing you all the best with it, remember to post here every 5 minutes explaining just how stir crazy you are going :)... and make sure you don't put any cards in #cough#

Just to let you know that I received a text message from "Mrs Leftie" yesterday afternoon to say that the operation had gone well and that Roger was home albeit very sore.
He won't be posting for a while but just wanted to pass on his thanks again for all the good wishes.
Rob
