well, alarm was set for 0550, woke up, got myself sorted, headed down to Bath Golf Club and was ready to tee off at 0630. (they had a comp starting at 0800, so i wanted to be clear of everyone, and i like it what the course is empty!!)
so, started off with a lovely tee shot and a bogey (about average for me for the first). felt like i had a really good front 9. hit 5 5s on the first 5 holes, 2 6s, then 2 5s to finish the front 9, so far so good!! hit 47 shots and 21 points!

Back 9, hit 2 4s (on the 10th, hit a GREAT shot from 130 out, with a 9i, hit the pin and landed a foot away for me first (and only) par of the day!!! 2 5s followed. the the skys erupted and it was HEAVY rain for the remainder of the round!! i carried on a got a 4, 3 6s and a 5 to finish. hit 45 shots coming back, and again 21 points!!

so, knowing i had shot a decent score, warmed up in the car and totaled it up, 92 shots and 42 points!!! GET IN!!!! all good prep for the Medal Comp (my first!!!) saturday after next. so another practice round next sat early doors.

Came home, had bacon roll and saw the sad news that the legend Seve had sadly passed away. My Mum and Nan are as greater fans as me, they both have signed programs from the British Open some years ago, well done Sir!! You had a cracking life, just a shame it ended so early, RIP
