Golfing Superstitions

I forgot to say I always carry a spare ball as well. Mine also goes back to my junior days and the embarrassment of having to walk up a fairway to a bag left miles from the tee to get another ball after watching a Titleis soar high wide and right into deep woods never to be seen again.

Scorecard in left pocket, tees in right.

wiggle ass before each shot. I use to have loads but have been conscientiously trying to kick them.

HID wanted to colour co-ordinate me and bought me a green cap,the first time I wore it I played c*** and blamed the cap.I now refuse to wear it.

Tees, ball marker and pencil in right hand pocket.

Never play with a ball that does not have an orange mark over the number.

White Tees only.

Sit in the same place in the changing room.

Apart from that none :-)

None for me, though Tony's story about the bag is spot on!

Actually, thinking about it.....I do have one.

"never play with anyone who wears a Callaway shirt and Ping hat but plays with Dunlop clubs and Donnay balls!!!"

because this person is the very opposite of me and I'm likely to attack them with a blunt 3 iron within 1/2 an hour.....

I always use the broken tee's for my Iron tee shots, no point in wasting ya own, And If its a good shot I will take it with me for the next, if its crud, I leave it!

1. Putting more than one extra balls in my pocket is to invite a lost ball on that hole.

2. Always trying to use a broken tee unless I'm taking out driver. Tees must be white

3. Always using a clean or new ball on the first tee.

4.Never looking at a bad swing for fear of catching a swing fault like catching a cold

5. Always using a really scuffed ball if I've lost a brand new ball, as I believe I will keep that well used ball for the rest of the round.

6. Always being able to play better with a ball with the number 3 or 4. Especially a 3 on it.

7. To be tempted to allow myself a shot for whatever reason is to invite a badround or twice or three times the score over the next, same, or following holes.

8. Playing all in white for a round at any competition day means a good round. Especially if the round means something

9 loosing a ball in the water, is to plecate the golfing gods of any pride.

10. Always to spin my putter in my grip before an important putt.

11. To not make a practice stroke is to invite a bad shot.

12. If an old tired ball found on the course costs me a good hole in use, then I must return the ball to the rough or the water as a sacrifice to plecate the golfing gods.

I only keep my tees, marker and pitchmark repair tool in my right pocket because I wear a left hand glove and its akward putting my hand into my left pocket when already "suited up".
I dont really have any superstitions, I have my own ways but nothing I would feel akward without having/doing something.
I used to use any broken wooden tees for teeboxes where I would be using an iron, now I just set the ball on a juicy bit of grass, I have now stopped hitting the ball fat.

always lose a clean ball. That's my motto.

No superstitions though. No lucky hat, tee, ball marker etc.
May be this is why I never get any luck on the golf course?
