Golfing Holiday - Wives or Not?

Any more than a couple or few nights would have to be with really. Next year got a short break without planned and working on a holiday with her sister and other half who plays earlier in the year.

Won't that upset the missus?

I would opt to take the wife as long as the other guys were taking theirs. Back in South Africa we had loads of awesome family golf holidays. It's all about the location. You need to ensure the other halves and kids that are there have loads to occupy themselves while you have a knock. We always played twice a day. First light and then around 2pm. That way we could spend a few hours in the pool with the kids between rounds and then be back to braai (BBQ) in the evening. There were never any major dramas. Takign the wife also means you can go for a week/two instead of pleading for 2/3 days and it actually makes a holiday
