I've been getting increasingly jealous each time I read of people having a great time golfing abroad, and have decided I'm going somewhere next year. I've got a couple of people interested, but we can't decide if it would be a good idea or not to make it a couples holiday.

Part of me thinks it would be really nice to play golf in the day with mates and let the women go shopping or sunbathing or whatever they like to do, and then have evenings, meals, drinks, watching shows etc with our nearest and dearest.

What do you all think?
Best of both worlds or utter madness?

I think you should takes the wife/girlfriend or both. After a hard day on the course you're going to need someone to fetch the beer from the fridge.

I've voted to take your wife/girlfriend. Why wouldn't you. She's my best friend anyway!!

Ps. I have suspicions that my wife reads everything I post.

Mr Mimms gets the best of both worlds.
He has men only golfing breaks, then any holiday we take together is totally golf based and we play together.
At least he knows that I can't shop and play golf at the same time...

On a serious note it all depends on your relationship and it's "boundaries". If she's cool about a separate holiday then fine but if not it won't be fine!

We take our holidays together and in the past few years these have all been golfing based but then I'm golf-mad so it's easy! David never did the boys away trips as it's not what we do and likewise I don't do the girls away trips. We prefer to be together
