I don't have any sympathy for someone who only puts a fiver in the tank but I have a huge amount of sympathy for the old person stood at the bus stop. There has to be other indicators before she'd get my sympathy, e.g. worn down heels or torn jacket.

Its impossible to tell if the girl only needed that amount of petrol or because that was all she could afford. Whilst the petrol came to £5.05 she gave the petrol guy 5p in cash and £5 on her card. This made me think that she only had £5 credit. I could be wrong of course but that was another reason I felt sorry
