Anyone use this site?

I want a quote for my X20's but I have to sign up and submit Credit Card details.

Is it cosha?
 
i bought clubs on there and have quotes,from what i remember once you register you send them the info of your clubs then they will give you a quote which is normally quite low compared to what you could get off ebay,most big stores ag etc use golfbidder to get quotes for trade ins
 
Yeah i've used them, its pretty easy too. You can get a cheque or redeem the offer against a purchase from them. There good for 2nd hand equipment but expensive for new gear. Don't expect a great offer though mate, they have to sell them on afterwards !
 
Used them a few times, absoultely no problems at all and extremely reliable. Most club pros use them for trade in prices etc so don't wprry about them not being legit'.

However, they will shaft ypu on prices as p/x and can be expensive to buy from, however the goods are genuine and guaranteed.

everything on there is better tha what they say,so if you think your clubs are rated at 8 out of 10 they would rate them and 6 maybe 7

last year when i got my new irons my pro got a quote for my old Titleist 690mbs which i thought were half decent they quoted me 50 notes as there was not a market for 2nd hand blades,
Have a think about what you would like for your x20s you might get a good quote as they quite a sought after iron
 
I dont know what would be a fair price to be honest.

I have had them a year and would rate them over all as about 7 out of 10, They are 4 to SW including GW. I paid £450 for them. what you guys think?

I had a look on the GB website and they seemed to be going for about £350 I suppose I would be happy to get that but They aint gonna buy at that.
 
I've not used them, but have had a look at the site a few times. I think the gear is quite pricey, but I guess in the overall scheme, it's a good idea and as with used anything, you....

They seem to be the leader in this business and if the service is good, I'd use them.
 
Yeah your right they wont buy for that,it depends how much you wanna get shut,i would say from experience they will give you 250 for them,a pal traded in his callys x forged 2-pw which cost 685 and got 350 after less than 6 months of use,if you after some new bats see what the fitter will give you for them
 
I would think thay would offer nearer £200 as there's some quirk with the vat. They will then mark up accordingly and get the vat back a 2nd time on the resale.
 
I think whatever they offer, you're going to be disappointed I reckon. If you are serious about new irons (what are you planning?) then the maybe you need to find a buyer privately first. I'm sure at the right price you could sell them easily....they must be one of the easier sets/makes to sell?
I can't help thinking you are going to be hard pushed to do better.

I bought a TM rossa monza corsa, arrived intwo days and in better nick than I had expected but I asked for a quote on a "New" driver that I had, totally unused, still in plastic, it was replaced by nike, I nearly choked when I got the quote.

Sell them on here or Ebay.

It's a bit like trading a car in. They NEVER offer what it's worth but will sell at a big mark up.
 
I dont know what I am planning on getting, open mind to be honest as they will be custom fit from somewhere that stocks almost everything.

The pro I get fitted from uses golf bidder for Part-Ex and I got ripped off last time. I paid £300 for an FTI and sold it after 3 months, it was mint and they gave me about £140

I really want to make sure I am using Irons that I am getting the most out of and after trying some different shafts and hitting balls longer than my own irons I dont think I am currently.

What do people suggest. I would be looking to get about £300-350 private or ebay etc and then maybe add £100 to that maximum.

I need a clubs similar to the X20's that are workable but still forgivible. I strike the ball pretty well 8 times out 10 and can now shape the ball a little.

If I had to pick names I would be happy to go for Callaway, Titleist, Mizuno(maybe) Wilson-staff, probably wouldn't touch Taylormade unless they were something special. Will consider all though.

I know that no matter what people suggest a full fit is the only I answer but I wouldnt mind hearing honest opinions from you guys if your using similar clubs.
 
From my experiences, I normally go to AG to buy my clubs as until recently I had very good contacts at my local store who would do me exceptionally good deals. Basically they would go and check golfbidder and say the site values my clubs at XX which to be fair were normally ridiculously undervalued. I'd offer what I thought (normally about £100 above GB) and then we'd haggle on either the trade in value or the amount of discount I'd get on the new set. Either way I always got my clubs very very cheaply.

My advice is to go to a big store and try the clubs out and then get a quote. You may get some extra discount if you trade in and buy at the same time or you could try being picky and saying Joe Bloggs down the road has offered mire for your 2nd hand clubs or is selling the new clubs cheaper
 
If Golfbidder are selling them for £350ish you'll get offered about 180-190 tops. I don't know what trade-in price you'd get from whoever you buy your new ones from but if you want the biggest return then sell them locally or on Ebay.

I swapped from X-20's to X-20 Tours 6 months ago and I havn't looked back. Well woth giving them a try - they almost look blade-like compared to the X-20.
 
Most shops these days instead of buying off customers for trade ins actually contact golfbidder to deal with tradeins. I certainly would not be afraid of buying equipment off golfbidder & a quick look at their site of quality second hand goods can give an idea what you should ask for in a private sale in admag or e-bay etc.
 
as there is already a thread . .

anyone know if golfbidder accept offers on clubs not listed as being in auctions?

also, is there anyway of telling how long an item has been posted?
