As the O.P. I have to say that IMO the quote I received was down right insulting. GB know the score they know how much stuff is worth and what they can shift it for. The offer of £55.00 was at best a thats what your getting take it or leave it price.I think that if they offered a cash take it or leave it price or a voucher against another purchase price they would get more business.
 
I was offered £85 for a brand new, still in plastic sumo2 that was replaced by Nike.
£85 FFS.....
My nephew bought it from me for double that and a bargain at the time.

It's like trade in for cars. They offer peanuts and I would be reluctant to give a decent motor to these shysters. I say give cos that's more or less what it is.

I would look at selling the club private for 2 reasons.
Firstly, you get a better price (isn't that what you want?)
Secondly, if it is a bargain, someone gets the benefit without making on it.
