What course can you recommend in the south that have a good course and spa that I can take the Mrs to for our anniversary.

The Oxfordshire.

Decent course, spa, nice hotel and just up the road from Oxford which is a romantic city.

Play your cards right and you could be in for a good night ;)

How far south are you thinking of coming?

I took my mrs to Wyboston whilst I played golf in the rain... nice...., It turns out its a bit of a waterpark. I enjoyed the course but not the howling rain. The spa and restaurant were really good. There's Whittlebury in Northampton. My sister uses the spa there a lot.. But the above suggestion of the Oxfordshire sounds pretty good....

Well Chris, it is my anniversary too. She can drive the buggy for me and I'll run her back in the spa. I also have to pay for it so I to choose ha ha.

I will look at the Oxfordshire as it's the only leaderboard course I've not played yet.

Book into Careys manor in brockenhurst  it's an amazing spa hotel.

They've got a tie in with my place. As long as it's not 14-18 April I'll be around for a game, I can sign you in,

Inspirational plan mashleyR7

I was thinking about something similar with the missus at Oulton Hall (Leeds) when/if we can get a night off from the little one.

Pennyhill Park.

Great spa and restaurant, went their for our first anniversary last year. Not so sure about the golf course, might only be 9 holes, but looked quite pretty.

Seeing good deals on the Oxfordshire, Looks like that could be the place as its close to Bicester village which the Mrs likes.

Is the food good there therod? We were planning a trip to the new forest later in the year, may give this place a try, looks like it would earn plenty of brownie points :)

It's top notch. I've only stayed there once but you've a choice (in 2 different restuarants) of French or Thai. There maybe a third option also. The spa is brilliant.

My only criticism is that my Thai massage didn't come with a happy ending :o.

If you squeeze your sticks in, give me a shout ;)

cheers, hopefully be in touch later in year!

I believe bowwood now has a spa, cracking course too. We did Lichfield last year, golf was ok, spa was an elemis one and the hotel and food were very good. Donnington valley near me is a great call, tricky well kept course and the spa is very good according to Mrs R.

Forest of Arden is good but a bit of a travel

Luton Hoo is supposed to be a good spa but course is so so
