Golf shoes

Currently have 2 pairs of footjoy sport (black pair and white/blue pair) that I have had for 18months and love them, just switch between them depending on outfit, although black ones we mainly for winter.
however, I have won a few comps this year so got some adidas adicross street 2 shoes with pro shop money and they are so comfy the footjoys have only been out when raining hard!

I only started playing golf in January, so don't have lots of experience, but have tried lots of shoes on. I have a wide foot and Footjoy seem to offer the biggest selection of shoes in a wide fitting, although some Nike shoes are fairly generous in width too.

I bought some 2012 AQL's on sale in February, but they started to leak recently. I took them back and was offered a replacement pair (2013 model) straight away, but was also given the option of exchanging for a different pair. I ended up paying a bit extra and getting a pair of Footjoy Contours and they have been very comfortable straight out of the box.

The fact that the AQL's leaked might be worrying to some, but it's not something you hear of frequently and was probably a rare occurrence. What was reassuring, was the quick and quibble free process of return. It probably helped that I bought them from a bricks and mortar store, but Footjoy's underlying warranty will have also played a part.

I'm not affiliated to them in any way, but if anyone is in the vicinity, the Complete Golfer in Northwood (London) have an incredible selection of shoes in almost any size and impeccable, old fashioned service. They are also very competitive thanks to having an internet store too.

Also noticed Hunter Mahan wearing some Free style shoes at the US Open. Not sure if they are Under Armour or Foot Joy or another but could be interesting.

After trying 5 other pairs, my current shoes Ecco Biom Golf GTX.

Really comfortable, don't squash my toes together or rub my heels so bad that I end up with blisters. All 5 previous pairs had at least 1 of these issues.
