golf pro

My partner and I are very keen to start up golf. We are looking for good golf pro who can provide a decent package of lessons to get us to "course solo" level and have access to good facilities and golf pro shop, we live in the Wallingford area but are willing to travel for the right package.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

Jonathan Draycott, at Drayton Park, Steventon, near Didcot, is very good. There is a range and a short golf course and a proper golf course, and he does a lot of lessons with beginners. Also has a decent shop with demo equipment and fair prices.

Marc at Oxford Golf Acadamy is a top man. Knows his stuff and its a cracking little set-up too. Its on the Botley side of Oxford near Halfords. Worth a look.
