What would you like to see to make golf on tv better?

Personally I'd like to know the club they use each time and the actual yardage of the shots. Maybe more experienced people can tell what iron a pro is using just looking at it but I'd like it shown on screen during the set-up. Also the actual length of the shots they take would give me a better idea of the game.

Trouble is, the game that even the Walker Cup guys are playing bears no resemblance to the game we play. How is knowing that Rory hits a 6 iron 207 yards going to help you?

My car is not a F1 car but still F1 races are full of details such as top speed, revs, g force, etc..

I'm not saying that is going to help me in the way that next time I'm 207 yds from the green I'll pick a 6i because Rory did. I just would be interested in knowing more technical data. I'm sure that it could be possible to track the clubhead speed on the tees as well.

remember guys these distances are good yes, but in usually warm climates or firm soil or both!
Remember the elite of european golf were averaging 250yd drives at Gleneagles 18th a few weeks ago, soft soil and cooler temps etc
When I play La Cala (hot hot hot) I dont ever use a driver, no need as the 4 wood or iron off the tee leaves a mid to high iron.

I'd like to see Ken Brown on Sky's coverage as I think Brown, Boxy and Radar would make a dream team on the course. They all call it how they see it and really describe the shot the player is facing
