Hi, i've got a collection of golf monthly magazines for sale from around 1945 to around 1990. They're in great condition and there is every single months issue there from what i know.
I know this magazine is very collectable and i'm prepared for someone to bargain with me.
Or if anyone knows of a dealership or anything that would be great?
Thanks.

Least you could of done is introduce yourself.

Stick around and get involved.
First post sellers are normally torn apart, we/I have been gentle :)

got any pictures ?

Not got any pics of the mags atm, was planning on taking some tomorrow after judging whether there was any interest on here and putting them on ebay if not. Would you be interested?

You'll have to forgive the odd cynical word or three. Historically we had a lot of newbie members coming on here merely to make a quick buck often with links to overpriced and crap websites.

At least the items for sale are GM related! I do think however you'd get a better response if you perhaps introduced yourself and said where you are from, where you play etc.

Is this post against the GM Forum For Sale/Wanted rules.
Just a thought.

I wouldnt have said so to be honest, the magazines are golf related.

Why do you think its against the rules? :D

In her 1st few posts he's trying to sell something and some see it ok whilst other members who contribute to the forum whether you like them or not get moaned at for selling a few bits of gear.

I thought the point of having a For Sale section was to move good used golf equipment onto other like minded golfers at a reasonable price and not sell a load of tat.

Just my 2 thoughts although i will stand corrected if i'm wrong :)

I stand corrected :D

I agree thankyou...that is if you are supporting me. I would say that if there is a for sale/wanted section then i should be able to see if there is any interest in what i have to sell. Which i might add is not tat and is a complete collection of golf monthly magazines from practically when the magazine first started! Which may i also add is the whole reason you guys are on here seen as it is 'Golf Monthly forum'.

And i'm a girl, thanks.

As I said in my previous post, there would have been less suspicion if you'd actually introduced yourself and explained your golfing background and maybe contributed to the main forum. Even now, apart from knowing your sex (and its good to have another lady on the forum) we still no very little about either how you come to have the collection, whether you play etc.

As it says on the forum front page "Buy and sell used golf Equipment".

Surely we can go easy on her/ make and exception in this case as she may well not want to participate in the forum, but rather thoughtfully (in my opinion) thought of us first before going to sell these elsewhere.

She may not have offered a full introdution or a lot of infomation first, but theres no reason why we can't politely / respectfully ask her.

Its not like she came on her trying flog a dodgy sounding set of irons... or an ipod ;)

Plenty of people whose first post is in the for sale forum have been slaughtered for it even though they've been selling decent gear.

Why should this post be exempt from the same treatment?

Well legit' golf gear is of interest to a lot more poeple, this forum wouldn't necesserily be the first place you would think of to sell it, but wouldn't this be the first place you would think of with a back catologue of GM magazines?

Plus i don't think any one should be "slated" a polite point in the right direction would be preferable.

Sometimes it seems to be a competition to see who can be the first to jump on somebody's post.

That being said, i do agree with reasoning and motive behind this, I just think theres a better way to go about it most times.
