got my second lesson on friday and cant wait, got some great advice last week went up the range last night and have never hit the ball so well, i love this game again, its really hard trying not going back to my old swing though, new swing feels really strange but seems to be working for now, dont know if its coincedence but its the first time ive ever hit balls with my mp3 on,cant remember what i was thinking hitting balls, was too busy listening to the music to worry about my swing, anybody else tried doing this

Yes I do and you just reminded me it needed charging before I head up the practice ground. Very important to stick with your swing changes and believe in them 100% not just at the range but on the course too.

As much as I love music and listen to it at every opportunity possible, I don't think I could do it while practising.

I wouldn't have it on the course, so I don't want to "rely" on it at the range.

Best of luck with the swing changes. I'm going through exactly the same thing at the minute and hopefully I've done the hard part and made it all click, now I just need to get consistent which is going to probably take somewhere around 500 balls down at the range.

Feels good when you "get it" though.

john reays too. although might have to swap it for a monday hard work trying to book golf lessons round my kids social lifes, going up tonight to see if i can swap it, who do you have your lessons with ? had my first one last week with trevor

Don't go back to the old ways no matter how bad you start hitting it. You've invested in the lessons and done the work on the range so go with it. You'll get bad rounds but battle through and the changes your pro is/has incorporated will click and you'l be off and flying

cheers homer, good advice, made the mistake before of having lessons and not sticking with the changes, definately going to see it through this time, il just enjoy the good shots and forget the bad ones,

Seems like we've got the same coach - stick with Trevor if he was any more laid back I would swear he was on something.

It doesn't matter how bad things are he makes you feel it is something he can sort - provided you can put into practice what he tells you. ;)

had lessons with him before, he keeps it nice and simple ( which suits me) yeah your right he,s pretty laid back, been practicing what he,s told me and seems to be working so far just got to stick with it, think my lessons at 7.00 on friday, couldnt swap it for the monday,so might see you up there, all the best
