I've got a friend coming up for the Scottish golf show on Saturday morning and we were going to look for a game either Saturday afternoon or Sunday morning somewhere in the lothians. Unfortunately I'm not a member of a club in the area at the moment but was wondering if anyone knows anywhere that relatively cheap that we could get a game?

Deer Park - £20 - After 3pm
Dalmahoy West - £24 - After 1pm

Few others on Teeofftimes but depends on your budget!! Also loads of other courses which are not on Teeofftimes but i'm sure someone local will point you in the right direction.

hi, played at gullane no.3 couple of weeks ago.sure its still on winter rates till end of the month at £23 each it is an absolute treateven think you can get on no.2 for sumthing like £30 odd,was in great nick and good fun too.also think you can get on the glen for £25,its a top course.torphin hill was a good experiance managed to get on for £11 each thru yamolo or groupon, just £18 standard rate.just a few i've had recent experiance of and i thout good value

Braids is lovely - only £24 at weekend
I played Kings acre last week - it was great! its a bit pricier at £39 each

;)

I would recommend Niddry Castle, better challenge than Deer Park or Dalmahoy West

Better drainage too and at around 6000 yds with some great holes and views. Clubhouse not that great but everyone very friendly and welcoming.

About 15/20 mins away from the golf show.

If you want to go a bit further then I would second Gullane no.3
