Golf Gloves

I like footjoy, but always look around for a good deal and if their OK buy a dozen for stock.

My gloves get used to death and generally last 10+ rounds, how many do other people use?

Footjoy Sciflex are my fav gloves (buy off ebay). Did use the Adidas ones at £5 each on ebay, but they changed their design this year and they didn't fit so well.

I'll probably get through 6 through a summer.

REALLY???

Jesus, what do you do with them, wipe your arse on then!!??? :-D

I bought a new glove earlier on this year because the one I played with since I started was soaked through from playing in the rain. This one has lasted me since then, around March time I guess.

Why do you go through so many? I dont get it?

I've tried loads this year, but gone back to the srixon all leather. My issue is the size of gloves. After being worn once they are far too big and because of this they wear really quickly. I wouldnt say I have small hands but I need to buy a small glove so after the first time I've worn it it still fits somewhat snug. Which giant tentacle handed freaks are they basing there sizing guide on!

Gloves get sweaty in the summer. Not keen on wearing a green glove. Nasty.

They get hard, not good either.

And they get a flipping great hole in them, where my dreadful technique allows the butt of the club to move about.

I get through loads of gloves. If I didn't wear one, I would get through loads of hands.

I've tried the Bionics and although they feel good initially they're noticeably 'thicker' on the grip (which may or may not suit) and they wear out about twice as fast as most others. Footjoy Weathersoft get my vote.

normally 4-6 through a year, i dont like them when they get lose, hard or start to stink. also i use dual compound full grips which can be hard on the glove.

Weathersofts from FJ are my prefered choice, dont like the sciflex

When I say "summer", I mean "year" because most of my golf is played in the summer and I probably use at least 3 (I've gone through 3 that I bought back in march) but between 4 and 6 a year depending on how much I play in the winter.

I have a similar problem to Murph. Once the leather has worn or stretched, they're only really useful for the range for my tastes. And I get holes worn in them. My sweat must be acidic.

They're probably not the best leather glove on the market, but at £5 they do the job and fit my ridiculous child-like hands rather well.

For any of you leftys out there. Lefthanded Golf have some great offers on gloves at the mo. I have small hands and got the hogan gloves the other day £14.99 for a pack of 4, reduced from £35. Nice fit as well.

You may not believe this but my Mrs bought me some golf (branded) MITTENS last Christmas. They were massve and quilted but they were impossible to use as I have an interlocking grip and couldn't hold the club properly. She reckoned they cost over £30 but you have to get up early to catch me out.Obviously a con so I tried using just one mitten. Result was one warm hand whilst looking for my balls. They went in the bin a bit smartish so I carry on with my trusty Dunlop with holes in the fingers.
