I drove past a gated site this morning and it had a sign up as Essington Golf with "under construction" across it!?

A bit of Googling hasn't got me far, only a couple of news stories from December last year announcing that a proposed 9 hole course was now being expanded to an 18 and then another news story in February 2015 saying planning permission had been granted and it should be completed by Spring, no doubt last year?!

Can anyone shed any more light on this, is it open, is it still under construction or has the work ceased, and if so, why?

Mr Fish...

All I know is that I think the fella from the Holybush garden centre up the road owns it.

It's been like that for around 2.5 years but recently looks there has been movement with jcbs. Guessing it's comes down to the cash.

Myself and Callawayne discuss about looking at it as our course is probably the most closest to it. (Other than the mega posh ones)

I think it's a new (although started in 2008) joint business venture with Brian Saunders & Jack Moody, they both own Wood Farm Golf & Leisure who own the proposed new golf course site, the only thing I can find on them under that business name is a range/academy?

That's a driving range / shop (actually
called The Range) which is at the back of where the club would be. Completely separate to the build apparently.
