Hi to all,just asking question if any one has suggestions for a newcomer to the game,any recommended clubs to start.I started with John Letters from Direct golf,just wondered if any other thoughts for him. Great forum .Thanks to all.

I'd recommend picking up a 2nd hand set of quality game improvement irons.
Anything by Ping or Callaway ought to do it. (Although not models aimed at top players
)
Mizuno make some great clubs, as do Taylor Made and Wilson Staff and....(you get the idea) but some of the big makers don't always make beginners clubs as beginner as Ping and Callaway.
