I'm just up and running on broadband again after a week off. House move. The usual 10,000 posts to read. Ah well. One at a time.

Anyhoo. Managed to get 3 games in during my break. The first was with Toad up at Blairgowrie, Lansdowne. Cheers John. Thoroughly enjoyed that. Cracking course. The second was at the Glen in North Berwick and the third was at the Dukes at St Andrews. There's where I went deaf.

My pal, Gerry, had just bought a new Taylormade Burner Superfast off eBay (the white headed jobby) and I tried it out. Had one hit at the range and I could hear ringing in my ears for 5 minutes. Didn't see where it went for the fog but man what a noise. I tried it out again on the 18th and hit it straight and miles but I still can't hear. Honestly, I don't think I could play with it. It's WAYYY too noisy for me. Are they all like that? I'm seriously tempted but I would need to play with earmuffs.

Anyway. Thoroughly enjoyed the Dukes. Nice course and here's a wee bit video for those who haven't played there. Had camera battery problems so only 15 holes.

Now, where's TimGolfy gone?

:D :D

I tried it on a driving range at a TM demo day about 6 weeks ago and had a similar problem. Not every shot made the noise but every so often one would "explode" with a huge tinny bang. Think Nike Sumo when they first came out and rachet it up a few decibels. Horrid sound and not a great club anyway having hit it
