I have had a book recommended to me which was Zen Golf, or something like that, there seems to be several similarly named books around, can anyone recommend a book to help me deal with the pressure I feel on the course. Or has anyone tried any of these self hypnosis cd's? I played well for me after an hours practice on the range warming up and feeling relaxed going out on the tee. Put me under pressure though and the game goes until I relax again.

I have anxiety attacks when flying and found self hypnosis worked a treat for that, never used it in any other situation. Did you find the Rotella books to be worthwhile reading?

Doc Bob is now my mental game guru.
I was struggling a few weeks back and a few on here said to read "Golf is not a game of perfect".
What a revelation!
I have changed so many things in my mental game and it has transformed my physical game. Most of all I go out on the course and enjoy the game again.
Would I recommend it? Hell yes!

My mate swears by Bob Rotella.

I've never seen such a gifted player play so badly.

I don't know if it's down to the mental head-shrinking or the absolute **** short game he's developed since reading Dave Peltz.

Sorry. But I don't buy it.....

There are plenty of self-help books out there for the mental side of the game. Zen Golf comes highly recommended.

I think if you read one of Docs books and you get it you'll love it if not pass it onto someone else and find a different author.

A few years ago I got a cd of Paul McKenna on golf hypnosis. I listened to it several times when all was quiet at home and I could concentrate. I don't know whether it improved my golf but I never got through the session without feeling that I had slept, so I guess that the hypnosis bit worked. I cant find any on his web site or Ebay but there are others out there
