I had a ball fitting a couple of years ago when Srixon visited the range. It was free and, as I was needing some new balls and they have offers on, I gave it a go. They didn't try and push the most expensive balls and recommended based on hitting driver and comparing the figures on the monitor.
i may well have got the best ball for hitting off the tee with my driver but is it the best for my whole game? Don't know, but they were good value at buy 3 doz, get another dozen free, and free personalisation so I bought them 😀
Just an update.. normally play ad333.. bought some soft feels today to give them a try.. 41 points in my winter league with 3 none scoring holes! I think the ball has less spin off the driver and more bite on the greens so I think the ball does have a part to play
Yes I have had a ball fitting with Titleist (part of a GM feature)
Had little if anything to do with the long clubs in the bag - in fact they stated that all their balls go within 5 yards of each other using the Iron Byron machine.
The fitting was all about chipping and putting and was down to personal feel and type of shot played.
Interestingly for me the NXT Tour S came out as well as the Pro V1x.
So interesting but don't expect to hit alot of long irons or woods if it's a Titleist fitting.
Had a titleist fitting as part of a day at Silvermere with GM. Suggested Pro V1x (which is what I play) but I think 99% all came out as Pro V. At my standard I@m not sure I'd really notice the benefits too much
Yeah Ive had a ball fitting, I've found That Pro V's are far too expensive for what they are, and went to Bridgestone, and now it's Vice. There all as much the same but I ain't paying over inflated prices of the Pro V
