Golf bag rain hood things

I can hit equally crap chips/pitches/putts with gloves on & off - during the winter we have just had, I wore rain gloves for the whole round & only took them off/changed them mid-round if they were too wet
I don’t wear rain gloves either, I have my own method for playing in the rain and it doesn’t require wet weather gloves and works well for me.

This, by Seaforth, is fantastic - yes, Vessel branded, but sure if you Google the manufacturer, you can get alternatives.

As long as you have a handle and legs it'll fit. The magnet closure, offering loads of adjustability is a superb feature.

Vessel make outstanding bags, but their rainhoods are awful, so I carry this with all of them.

It's amazing that Vessel sell a product to resolve a deficiency in their own bag design. They pride themselves on the quality of their bags, but then intentionally retain a design flaw

I wonder if they employ the guy who designed the Death Star.

I’m fed up of the rain hood on my bag. It’s a nightmare to get on, bit like a usb cable, you can guarantee whichever side I pop on first, it’s the wrong side, switch it around, nope, that doesn’t fit either, switch around again, it fits. And then it’s one of those that doesn’t fully open and so it’s fiddly to get clubs in and out. Yes, I’ve played in rain showers all day today and it’s fully fried my head!

Has anyone bought an after market/universal rain hood that has revolutionised their experience? If so, please recommend!

I can see 2 options to resolve your problem (obviously I can make a joke about getting fitted for a cover but I want to be helpful):

1. Full scale solution:

2. Budget solution:

What a cringeworthy man!

Your solution sounds like more effort than just using one bag and leaving the rain hood on.

If I need the rain hood on, it’s no doubt going to rain. This means I’ll either have all wet get in my nice lite trolley bag that would need to be emptied to dry or have to use a full weather wet bag all year round which don’t seem to have a decent size cooler pocket.

It’s easier to just swap clubs into a waterproof stand bag when needed, I also use that at the range instead of taking a full cart bag.
