Golf around the consett area nort east, help needed

Hi everyone.

Newbie here,hope ive posted this in the right forum,i'm thinking of travelling up to watch the seniors at slayley hall next week and looking for around of golf in that area on saturday afternoon/ evening looking to stay over night and watch the final round on sunday, any suggestions would be helpfull, thx in advance...

Slaley isnt Too far away from Hexham Golf Club, and thats a lovely course, well worth a game
