Glenn Frey

Sad news.

I've seen the Eagles 3 times in the last 8 years, and they have easily filled the 3 hours that they do, and they are the best concerts I've ever been to.

Hearing "Desperado" with the lights down is an experience.

Sad news yesterday, as well as well as Dale Griffin from Mott the Hoople and today Mic Gillette from Tower of Power :(

Not a good couple of weeks.

Had Hell Freezes Over on at work this morning. Absolutely incredible album.

Glenn Frey of the Eagles has died.
RIP Glenn
and welcome to the hotel california
you can check out any time you like ,but you can never leave.

And the ironic thing is they had obviously paid very close attention to the chords in Moonage Daydream by Bowie for Hotel California.

Caught this news late last night. Terrible loss to the music world.

I was (am) a massive fan of The Eagles. I thought Don Henley's tribute was very nice indeed. Lovely words.

Very sad. Love the Eagles stuff and one of the few groups I wish I'd seen live

What Liverbirdie said.

I saw the Beach Boys back in 2001 in Seattle - it was Basically just Mike Love and some other guys, but if you'd closed your eyes, you'd NEVER have known the difference. One of the best gigs I've ever been to.

I'll bear that. Do you realistically think that will happen though and they tour again?

Possibly, they have toured in the Uk approx 3 times in the last 8 years or so, so maybe the're enjoying it or need the money.

However, this may change with Glen's death, although as someone famous once said.........yeah, when hell freezes over.;)
