I had a golf outing at glenisla yesterday and wish to highly commend them for their customer care as I feel they have gone beyond the normal .

We got our rolls and coffee before going out and filled in the sheet for the tea (choice was chick curry / steak pie or haddock) but when we came back in the club house was in darkness .
A kamikaze swan had flew into a power cable and shorted out the terminal box causing a power cut but where other clubs would have just shut the place and sited health and safety reasons . The chef struggled away with a portable gas cooker and managed to still feed our party of 16 which we were all very impressed with and left thanking him and his staff for a great day (despite the rain)
Well this morning I received an email apologising for yesterday's problems and offering us a free round with soup and sandwiches after for the whole party .
This is a real case of the club looking after its guests and going beyond the realms off customer satisfaction

Last time I was at Glenisla, they took a while to get our food after the round. I was on a tight timescale and had to get on the road fairly sharpish to get home. After waiting a wee while, I explained this to the woman in the bar and asked her to cancel the order but she said "No worries, I'll get it for you and we won't charge you. Just take the plate with you and bring it back next time you're here." Not a big deal, really, but it's the small stuff that makes a difference.

Nice course too.
