I made a complaint about the "50% off" adverts around Christmas time, because the pages here were loading probably twenty times slower than any other website, and scrolling down took several seconds rather than being instantaneous. And this was on a LAN with download speeds of tens of Mbps! Now the site seems quicker, but the adverts are far more "in your face" and they are a distraction.

It's the 'Windows' key and 'D' you have to press to make them disappear.

Both the above key options just close the page, they dont get rid of the adverts.

The other answer of dragging the edge of the page also is not working and im not exactly a PC Numptie.

The forums free and many posters dont subscribe to the mag so ultimately adverts are par for the course on free forums to cover bandwith etc, not asslicking but used to mod a forum a few years back and always had to accept adverts to make ends meet

I've got to agree. I'm all for product placement but this is waaaaaayyyyy too much and all its doing is irritating forum members. Hopefully by the time the BMW finishes next week the whole what shoes should I wear thing will be redundant. Badd error of judgment on this one by those at GM TOwers

what i like is how Jumeirah, Ping, Titleist and Mizuno are all getting free advertising on the back of it as well... what with the logos splattered all over the caps of the players.

I wonder if FJ charge those other companies?
