getting your hopes up yet?

Davey....how do you rate Paul Lambert?

Well it's still early days but I'm going to back him 100% he has bought in some very young players and we struggled at first but seem to be working well together in the last 4 games, he also bought in Benteke who has proved to be a great signing.
I think he should be left to do his thing and see what our position is at the end of the season and who he goes after in the summer.

Can't say there are many job-less managers out there I would rather have in the dugout.

Gibbo,

On paper though mate we have a very young inexperienced squad but as for Liverpool... have they got the same excuse. One striker in the team says a lot about how you are being managed.

Cavanni, or llorente, or falcao (now I'm dreaming).

What will we get?

Another 15 year old no ones ever heard of, and a past it (if he ever had it).

Can't get excited.

I totally agree Davey, totally ill equipped up top. Can only win games through scoring goals.

We have never fully recovered since the days of Owen/Fowler/Rush

Do you really think LFC management, players or fans don't realise we need another striker?
Why do you think half the players on the wish list are there?

No need for a new manager or we will start to look like Chavski FC and I quiet like what Rodgers has done so far.
There are always games that shock you, look at some of the results the clubs right up there have had. It's a building process and I don't mind if it takes a few years to start challenging for the top 4 places.

Crystal Palace

Hopefully just a back room person trained as a silver polisher!

(that'll be the kiss of death)

I'd be surprised if Celtic buy anyone, if they do its likely to be a target an striker.

Liverpool don't need a new manager, they need a striker and need to get rid of the underperformers like Henderson and Downing

That clown ain't got it. Job is too big for him.

When Brendan Rodgers said he thought Liverpool could finish second I didn't realise he meant in every game

Benteke?

One of the most complete centre forward performances yesterday, I've ever seen at Anfield from an opposing player. Maybe a flash in the pan, but I think he is better than that. Fast, big, strong, skillful, mobile and finished well to boot, and I think he's only about 22. Another Drogba in the making?

Out of what we can afford, I'd have Sturridge. Still not sure about Ince, as he seemed very skillful in the reserves, but hasn't got great pace.

I wouldn't be ecstatic as a Villa fan though, a better run recently and a great defensive performance yesterday, despite the result. Still a lot of work to do though. As have we.

Fellaini,eh - I'd put him in against both the Klitchkos - think he'd batter both.

Oopsie!

Unbelievable beat down for us :-(

Shows how bad Liverpool are though he he ;-)

Not quite 8 but 4 nil at home is just as bad for Lambert and as for Liverpool losing to Stoke, QP ha ha are now looking forward to their visit to secure 3 guaranteed much needed points.

Oopsie 2. A bit late, but bet you thought this had gone under the radar.

Could be a big banana skin today

;)

Yep, no matter how many leagues in between, you never know. I would have gone but couldn't get a ticket in either end. A girl in work is from mansfield, but no joy in their end either.

I reckon Sturrdige will score first.

Ok, done on an edit. :)

Always love transfer windows with all the speculation, as do sky sports news! So far we've signed chris wood from west brom who has been an instant hit with 3 goals in 2 games, looks quality at this level. A nice ball holder for the middle would do me, a footballer to win the ball do the simple things and let the attackers do their job.
