Getting Old

I am definitely into old age, brought a pair of sketchers old dodderers shoes today... ugliest things I think ive ever bought, but by heck they are comfy. go really nice with the cardigan the wife got me for Christmas :(

It's very sad but my daughter also bought me a cardigan. What's even worse - and she was blissfully unaware - it was from the dreaded William Hunt of Trilby fame.

Did the shoes have Velcro fasteners ;)
I used to wear cardigans in the 1960's they were trendy then.
Slazenger mock alpaca was the bees knees.
Am I missing something as I thought cardigans were presently trending

I just wonder sometimes in a quiet moment of reflection, laying prone in my old reclining armchair, and contemplating life whilst galloping headlong towards 70 - will my irons last as long as me or should I think if changing them soon ?

Your irons will definitely last as long as you, but they'll be owned by someone else by then, along with your next 3 sets.

On a slightly downbeat note (sorry) found out I lost an uncle yesterday. My dad had three brothers and just one remaining now. Brought back some great memories of times with my uncle and two of his brothers in a pub by the canal at Stony Stratford, playing darts and having some beers. Knew he was a little unwell when I met up with his siblings for Christmas and apparently all very quick but a painful reminder that our time here is fleeting. Thanks for indulging and back to mocking ChrisD please

Well, if one is contemplating the future, long or short term, then it is probably best to get a few cushions, some snacks & drinks, and then stay in bed all day on Sunday.

Just been reading a report in the papers that more people pop it on Jan 6th than on any other day of the year :(

Happy golfing, and if you do play Sunday, remember, don't stand up too quickly after you pick the ball out the hole ...
