Just found out myself, what a shock! Saw him on TV only the other day.
Yes, it would appear he has taken his own life. Obviously no reasons for his actions so far, nonetheless, a great tragedy and loss to the game and Welsh football.

it was only yesterday that he was on football focus.. very sad to hear news like this. Just goes to show that you never know what people are thinking. To us gary speed had everything, professional footballer, the money, a family yet he has still took his own life.. Very sad R.I.P

Shocking news....Stewart Regan is on Twitter saying how he was on great form at the World Cup fixtures meeting during the week, laughing and joking away.
Very odd but you just never know what is going on in peoples worlds.Rumours of depression....awful illness.
He was one of the good guys in the sport and was working wonders with the Welsh team.

Depression can and does hit anyone, 2 weeks ago I lost a member of my family in exactly the same circumstances.
My thoughts and prayers go out to Gary Speed's family , as they now have to deal with the aftermath of this tragic incident.
