Anyone use one of these for golf GPS ?
Do you need to pair it to your phone for it to work or does the golf app on the watch work stand alone ?

I think you need to download the course to the phone app, then sync with the watch to transfer it over. You will need to do that with every different course you play.

So you dont need to have the phone with you when you play, if its downloaded ?

Yes that's correct, once a course is synced to the watch it stays there until you delete it.

Got one, don't like it. It lives in the back of a drawer somewhere. I dumped it in favour of a Bushnell watch.
