Garmin S3 issue

Good morning ladies and gents looking for a spot of advice/troubleshooting with a Garmin S3.

Working previously and well looked after but now all of a sudden my S3 won't pick up satellites rendering the watch as useful as my driver currently. Tried doing a 'hard reset' as per their website and reloaded the firmware (running most recent 3.0 update) but still won't lock onto a satellite (spent 30 mins on the putting green and it hadn't picked anything up)

Luckily my playing partner had his with him (running same firmware) and his worked spotlessly all round.

Any tech ideas out there or is it a case of seeing if it floats next time I'm fishing my balls out of the lake.

I have an s3 and had a few issues but alas nothing as serious as your unit!

i just went on the Garmin Forum and eventually got the help I needed, however this is now closed for this model!

but after a quick google found this from their American member with a similar issue:

I'm ringing Garmin tomorrow to see if it's worth sending in to them before it goes for a swim.
