I have had a few beers.

I have a £20 Direct Golf gift card sat in front of me.

My watch broke 3 or 4 months ago and I have yet to replace it.

The item in the title is down to £140 so I can get it for £120.

Worth it? I play different courses every week so do misjudge yardages sometimes. Can it really be used as an "everyday" watch aswell?

My only experience of one was turning up to play a Lothians Handicap Competition and my playing partner had one on. Lo-and-behold, it didn't recognise the course we were playing, so was therefore as useful as an ashtray on a motorbike.

If it's used simply as a watch. then it will last a few weeks without needing a charge. But when the GPS is being used, I think it last for 4 hours.

I've been sad enough to watch the clips on Youtube about them (have a look).

I'm being giving some AG vouchers soon and I'll be buying one of these. I might even go for the S3 model if I'm given enough vouchers through work.

I meant that it will last for 8 hours with GPS, not 4.

I can get about 1 & 3/4 rounds out of it before it dies from a full charge.

Very handy and invaluable when playing new courses. Helps when they play about with pins and tee area's even on my home course.

Looking at getting the S3 model when monies allow.

Oh m8 you have to get one, they are pukka!!! I got the s3 that had been used twice for just over £200 off ebay the other day and tried it out today. It sped my game up as the guess work was taken out of the equation. It helped me hit quite a few more greens today with my approach shot and can see my scores dropping soon!!!
Get one you will love it!!!

I use mine as a watch everyday, once a week I just stick it on charge overnight.
On the course it is a great help. Well worth the money and it has found every course I have played so far.

Also use one and wear it as an everyday watch. All of my local courses are mapped, including most of the small 9 hole par 3s, and the mapping appears to be very accurate. It's also weather resistant as proven out by the last few weeks of rain.
The shot measure function is very handy as it's helped me to gauge accurate club distances in varying conditions.
All in all a good buy at the current price.

Very happy with mine for distance to green and a great help with club selection. Haver used it on various courses with no problem. I find battery lasts two rounds (on same day) if fully charged before starting.

Wouldn't use it as a watch though as too large for everyday use for me.
