Ian Poulter was 4 handicap when he turned pro , look what he has done within the game ,
In the October GM Poulter said this
"At 17 I got my handicap down to 4 and was working at a course called Chesfield Downs. My boss was making it very difficult for me to play any tournament golf or medals, so I stopped playing amateur golf for 2 years. I didn't play from 17 to 19, so still had a 4 handicap at 19 although I was practising before and after work. I'd definately have beeen a bandit off of 4 when I turned asistant pro at 19."
It then mentions he had 3 fruitless visits to Q school (silly boy, didn't he know you need 5 a day
To the OP, good luck whatever you decide to do.
