Furness Golf Club

Having to visit the mother in law in Cumbria in a couple of weeks and to ease the pain hoping to play golf on the Friday.
Anyone play this course or recomend others near Barrow. She lives on Walney Island so very convenient.

Never played Furness but have played Ulverston a few times (4 or 5 miles away from Barrow). I have only played it in the summer months, nice layout, greens were good and a friendly welcome. Some local lads said that Ulverston was the best of the local courses (and they weren't members)

It will be windy at Furness!!!! Links track so a better bet than Ulverston at the moment, very wet up here as usual.

ahhh Barrow, my home town. I have my mum staying at the mo Mr Woo she is heading back to Barrow on thrursday.

Walney is a decent course by all accounts, also got Barrow GC in Hawcoat/Ormsgill area, I think its quite hilly though
