Had ordered a new wood and some golf balls with a view to taking them out this weekend. A company called DPD left a note at my door saying they tried to deliver when I was at work.
I went to the depot to pick it up this evening and they sent me away saying I had to have an appointment!!! That's ridiculous as I have to book it online and the next available time is to go on Monday evening.

Anyone had any delivery issues with Direct Golf? This was my first and last order with them.

Should have read the T's & C's regarding delivery before you ordered. Never had an issue with DG before. You can get a Saturday delivery..... it just costs you more ;)

More and more gear is being bought on-line.
It all has to be delivered and signed for.
One of the "self-storage" places around here will, for a small fee, let you send parcels to them, they'll hold them until you can pick them up.
If you live in an area that neighbours wont take parcels in, it could be a good alternative.
Fortunately we have a couple of neighbours who are almost always in...

I have an agreement with my postie - If i'm not in he leaves any parcels in the wheelie bin hut in the back garden, works very well! Been waiting on a new 3 wood this week and kept checking the "agreed spot", got home today and a neighbour shouts me over to give me a parcel (new 3 wood).... need to be having a chat with the postie, no card thru the door, neighbour has had it for 2 days! I'll let him off this time!

ive a big brush and massive tub of tar lol. you get to know what each carrier are like. i ordered from snaiton golf. the first time they tried i wasnt in next day a different carrier delivered it

On the contrary, I'd say it's neither's fault.

I've always found DPD to be excellent, their online tracking is second to none.

Agree, but I can understand the OP for being frustrated that he cannot collect his parcel until Monday.

Never had an issue with either myself, and also never heard that appointments were needed for customer collections.

Direct Golf (DPD) have to attempt to deliver to the card holder address twice and then you can call Direct Golf and change the address. I usually do this when ordering, just means delivery is normally 5/6 days. Doesn't seem a very "green" way of doing things!

I blame Direct Golf for using a company like this. They don't even deliver on Saturdays.

Maybe it's just because I work in the head office of Post Office!!

Hahaha, the most inept incompetent delivery company around. As someone else said pot and kettle spring to mind!

Direct golf have fulfilled their part of the bargain. Christ you work in the industry wht did you not get it delivered to your work??????
