We played in Mendip Springs Open today.

Due to problems we ended up starting nearly half an hour later than our appointed tee time and also had a very slow first 9 as a late arriving 2 ball worked their way through several 4 ball groups to catch up with their pairing.

The heavy rain came in just as we were on the 18th tee:mad:

When you say worked their way through, I assume not playing as a two and marking their own card (unless with a marker to observe) and merely working through by walking the holes to catch their allotted partners. If that had been the Trilby they wouldn't have been allowed out at all and was any penalty awarded for missing the tee time?

They were allocated a marker. There was a bit of dispute between them and the organisers about their tee time and the organisers decided to let them play. Lack of emailed tee times and the players they travelled with advising them of the tee time based upon their tee time. We did not get ours emailed but we just checked on the website.

Not really involved about exactly what went on just had to stand aside on the first tee to let them tee off before us. The starter commentated that they were already running late, partially because of their no show for their allocated tee time and a decision being made about what to do for the other pair.
