Seems that every time I find some form events conspire against me

Started the year playing half decent golf, won a few comps with 8 and 10 under handicap, but these were non qualifying owing to two holes being closed due to standing water (and no, that wasn't why I was 10 under! lol).

Played ok for a short while once the course was fully open which saw the handicap slowly start to creep down, then completely lost my way for most of the summer :(

Have recently started to find a bit of form again, won a Stableford comp last week with 41 points but no cut? :D

Now the green staff have started work on levelling the tee boxes and the S.I. 1 par 4 has been temporarily altered to a par 3 to allow much needed repairs to the fairway, so for the forseeable future all comps will be non qualifying :(

Great news that the work to improve the course has started, but frustrating at the same time, especially as the course has been measured for winter greens so in theory at least it should remain qualifying all year.

looks like the mask and poncho will have to stay for a while yet

I feel ya, I would be frustrated too but it sounds like its going in the right direction so dont let it get in your head.

I'm suffering the same frustration having got down to 13.9 this year but still playing below it.
Getting some serious bandito stick for it as well. Our winter league started yesterday and along with my partner we carded an embarassing 47 points(still happy to take the money though)
