Sorry folks- simple question but can only find websites that are a couple of years old and didn't know if there had been any changes.

Is it still 1/2 the difference of the combined handicaps?

So my partner and I are off 7 & 17 = 24 / 12 shots, our opposition tomorrow are off 13 & 14 = 27 / 13.5 (14), so does that simply mean we're giving our opposition 2 shots tomorrow? Is this right for Foursomes Matchplay?

Yes but it's important to do the calculation correctly

Its half the difference in matchplay, as posted.

The calculation is therefore

(13 + 14) - (7 + 17)= 3 / 2 = 1.5 which is then rounded to 2

Doing it your way round works here but not always

When doesn't it?

I think this is right (but it is early for me on a Saturday.....
Imagine one team were off one more combined (8 instead of 7) and the other off one less (12 instead of 13)....then following the original logic........
So my partner and I are off 8 & 17 = 25 / 13 shots, our opposition tomorrow are off 12 & 14 = 26 / 13, so does that simply mean it's a level game tomorrow?
When it should be.......
(12 + 14) - (8 + 17)= 1 / 2 = 0.5 which is then rounded to 1.
