Forum gear survey. What's in your bag and how long have you owned it?

Re: Forum gear survey. What's in your bag and how long have you owned

3 Wood (Ping G15) 3 months: still learning how to hit

Irons (Titleist AP1 2010) 9 months

Wedges (Titleist Vokey 52, 56) 10 months

Putter (Scotty Cameron Newport 2.7) 10 months

I'm looking to add to my bag rather than change anything. Still need to get a 2I hybrid and a Driver. No intention of changing anything for some time but first to go will be the wedges when the grooves are knackered. Putter will last a lifetime (at least that's the plan).

TM Tour Burner 10.5- about 6 months, no plans to change but may re-shaft in the future.
TM R9 3 wood- about 8 months, Won't change until it is knackered.
TM Burner Superfast 3 Hybrid- 2 weeks old, wanted one since they were released but not convinced yet.
Mizuno MP60 irons- about a year, Love them, but also love the look of MP68 blades (i.e would buy a set if I had the wonga.)
Mizuno MPT 47 degree wedge- about 8 months, I won't change it till the grooves are worn.
Wilson TW9 52 + 56 degree- about 6 months, like them but my wedge play has been crap the last 6 months. Is it me or the wedges? Obviously it's my technique, but I bet I buy new wedges rather than have a lesson.
Nike VR 60 degree- about 6 months, only use it in bunkers and wouldn't feel comfortable without it.
Scotty Circa 62 #3- about 6 months, will never part with it although I am cheating on it at the minute.
GEL Opal- 1 month, Picked this up on ebay for £25. Liked the feel, so jumped in at the deep end and used it for the first time in the club champs. I putted well with it and it honeymoon period continues, but my putting is always pretty steady anyway so I can chop and change without it disrupting my game too much.

Driver - Ping i15 , nearly 2 months , no change

3w - Mizuno f60 , 19 months , hate it defo going to change as soon as I can work out what woods would suit me better

17* Mizuno mx700 hybrid thingy - 19 months , will be changed along with the 3w this Autumn

Irons Mizuno mp57's - 3-pw , 20 months , love them to bits and they are staying

Wedges Mizzy mp series 51* and 56* - 20 months , no plans to change but could be tempted if I see something outstanding

Putter Original Odyssey 2 ball - since 2001 , keep looking but I love this club sooo much it wont be going anywhere until I die

Jammy, I can see you back at Gainsborough getting a 3 wood and hybrid custom fit! You know it makes sense. :D

Driver:- Ping i15 AVIXCORE shaft 9 months - keeping, great driver

3 Wood:- Ping i15 AVIXCORE shaft 9 months - keeping ,great club

Irons;- Mizuno MX300 RIFLE 5.5 SHAFTS 2 months- just changed had Ping i 10's had regular AWT shafts which i found to soft for me, the cost to reshaft was more than to swap for the Mizzies .

Wedges;- Vokey Black Nickel 52,56 1 month- these replaced the same which had been worn out.

Putter;- Scotty Cameron Newport 2 years- keeping

Bag:- J Lindeberg Black carry bag Porn star material, even Huggy Bear wants one :)

Shoes:- J Lindeberg white/black or Adidas Tour 360 LTD white/green

Driver: Cobra S2 11.5*, offset. Had it a month not changing it for anything !
3wood: TM 07, had it 6 months. No change ATM
Hybrid: TM tour issue 19* rescue. No change. 6 months.
Irons: Golfsmith G20+ irons. No change. 3 years.
Putter: odyssey i9 black series. No change. Had for 2 years.

In the Cally Euro bag:

Driver; TM r7 Draw, about 2 years. No plans to change yet but thinking about trying a few new models next time at the range.

3 wood; Mizuno F50 with stiff shaft. Bought on a whim. Wish I hadn't as I've lost confidence in the club.

5 wood; Ram,Cheap naff club that came with my starter set. Still looking for a decent replacement.

Hybrid; none

Irons; Mizuno MX17, about 2 1/2 years, quite satisfied but still look longingly at new irons in the golf shop. If only I could afford! :(

Wedges; Just PW and SW that came with my MX17's

Putter; Odyssey 2 ball, around 12 months. Sometimes works, most often doesn't. Thinking about offloading and buying something different.

Re: Forum gear survey. What's in your bag and how long have you owned

Driver is a Ping G15. Had it for about 3 months and at the moment its working so its staying.
3 & 5 woods are Cleveland Launchers.17 & 19 degree. Had them a year but looking to change the 5 for a 2 hybrid or 7 wood.
Hynrid is a Launcher as well.23 degree and a steel shaft it mimics a 4 iron perfectly.e
Irons are fantastic Mizuno MP58's in stiff shaft. Easily the best looming and performing clubs I've owned. Had them since March this year.
Wedges are Cleveland CG 15 50, 54, and 58 degrees. The 58 is the dual sole grind, the others black pearl. Had them since March as well
Putter is an Oddyssey Sabertooth with the XG insert. Had it 3 months.
So the only planned change is the 5wood for a 2h sometime soon. Everything else looks to be in there for some time

As below. Driver, 3 wood, irons and putter all bought 2 1/2 years ago - no plans to change. Hybrids and Cleveland CG16 lob wedge 1 year ago = wouldn't be without them. Balls - last about a week and changed on an involuntary basis very frequently.

Ping G15 - 8 months old, loving it no plans for the future.

Ping G15 3 wood - 10 months old, thinking of changing from draw version, not sure why I bought the draw.

Cobra Baffler - 2 years old, want to replace with I15 hybrid but ok for time being.

Ping I15 irons - 3 months old and love them more than my daughter (good job I dont have one)

Ping Tour W 50, 54 & 58 3 months old, best wedges I've just by miles, not changing.

Sabertooth a year old, like it but want something with more feel something like the Scotty Cameron Studio Select 2.6

A lighter stand bag is the main thing I need, the Grom with kit is just too heavy.

Er, see sig? :)

Ping G10 Driver 10.5deg
Ping G10 3w
Ping G10 18deg hybrid
Ping G10 21deg hybrid

Mizuno MP-57 4-PW

Mizuno T-series 53/56/60deg wedges

Odyssey Sabretooth putter

All clubs in use since summer 08 (thanks burglars).

Happy with woods and irons, so no real desire to change.

Wedges so-so and if I was working right now, I might consider changing them, but I'm not, so I won't.

Putter is fine and I'm quicker to blame me than the stick.

So now I sit back and watch everyone else get gear to demo for the next year, is that right? :p

Driver: ping g15 9 deg stiff, nov 09
5w: Nickent Hypersteel firm around 10 years, great club.
3-pw: titleist Ap2 irons,s300 shafts around 18-20 months, love them to bits.
50 deg MD Norman Drew, 8-10 months I think, biggest spinning club I've ever owned.
56deg Vokey spin mill, 3 years, might replace soon for same again with fresh grooves.
58deg MD players wedge, around a year old, again spins well and only used when 56 won't give enough height.
Putter: odyssey White Hot 2 Ball, around a year and plan on never getting shot of it. A real revelation in my putting.

nearly all of mine is 18-24 mths old but sat unused for the first 12 mths due to rehabbing the knee injury. the only reason i had new 18mths ago was some scrote turned over our locker room and mine was one of the sets to go.

Driver - Callaway FT5 9.5 degree Fukijura X flex shaft
3 Wood - Titleist 906F 15 degree Aldila NV85 X flex shaft
Irons 2-PW Callaway X Tour forged Projext X flighted 6.5
Cleveland CG12 50,56,60 Rifle 6.0 shafts
Scotty Cameron Newport 2.5

Have added a Titleist 909H hybrid this week in place of the longer irons, am either going to reshaft the wedges or replace with Vokeys, as yet undecided. Otherwise don't expect to change anything else for the forseeable future.

I only started playing again about 18 months ago, but not much survived my original line up

Driver & 3 wood - Titleist 909D & F, 6 months - happy
Hybrid - 21 degree titleist,8 months,17 degree 2 weeks - happy
Irons - TM R9, almost changed to Titleist but shop screwed up order so sticking with the R9 for now.
Putter - Odyssey Sabretooth 12 months, on it's last warning

Driver: Custom Fitted Callaway FT-9: 8 Months
3 Wood: Adams A3: 3 years
5 Wood: Benross VT Extreme: 4 weeks
4i Hybrid: Ping G10: 1 year
Irons: Cobra SZ 5-PW: 2 years
Gap Wedge: Orka FK2: 3 years
Sand Wedge: Cleveland CG 14: 1 7 months
Lob Wedge: MD Norman Drew: 2 years
Putter: TM Fontana: 2 years

Never thought I would say this but I am happy with most of my bag. The driver is great, would not be without the G10 hybrid and the wedges are spot on. In fact a load of my current bag is gear that I have discarded in the past and gone back to. The 5 wood/3i hybrid gap has been a constant problem but I have so many options sitting around that I cannot justify trying anything else

The only temptation would be the TM Ghost putter. The Corza version looks great to me and I really need a shorter putter (I grip down on a 35 inch shaft and need a 34). Cannot really justify spending £120 quid on one at the moment though so that will wait until the price comes down.

Taylormade Tour Burner 10.5 degrees - 2 years sometimes gets swapped with the R7 if not behaving but no real plans to ditch

Cleveland Hi Bore 3 and 5 woods - 5 years but want to change to as confidence very low - looking at TM superfast

TM Burner 3 hybrid - 4 years - beautiful club and there for the duration

TM Tour Preferred Irons 4-PW irons - 8 months - loving them and not going anywhere

TM Z TP wedges 52, and 58 degree - good clubs but may need changing as grooves starting to wear down

Odyssey White Ice No 9 34" putter - since June and a godsend - where has it been all this time - going nowhere EVER

I only started playing again in the middle of last year. I bought cheap clubs to see if I'd get the bug again, and when I did I was fitted for new clubs.

So, all about 1 year old.

909D2 Driver
909F2 3-wood
909H Hybrid
AP2 irons 3-PW
Vokey SM 52, 56 & 60
Yes! Sophia putter

No plans to change anything, although the woods and hybrid aren't the easiest clubs to hit (straight!), but I've always had the (stubborn) attitude that I should learn to swing better rather than get easier to hit clubs.
