Forum game near Southampton

Seeing as it looks as like it'll be in Sept. It's unlikely we'll get 36 holes in, not unless we have a very early tee time and that would mean a stupidly early start for some.

As an idea, we could have a 3 club challenge on the nine hole par 3 course. Just for something a bit different, as well as 18 holes on the Greenwood course.

Apologies about the club website. But it's lacking pictures of the new course. I'll try and take some and post them on here.

Okay. So prices, without a contribution to prizes.

Coffee, bacon bap on arrival.
9 hole par 3, 3 club challenge.
Lunch.
18 holes on the Greenwood course.
£33.50

Or.

As above plus dinner.
£45.50

I'm tempted with the first one, then we can keep the cost below £40 for a days golf and prizes. If folks wanting dinner afterwards, it can always be ordered individually on the day anyway.

How does that sound?

Good idea, the 9-hole par 3 can be the warmup prior to the main event, and those travelling a long way on the day can skip the 3-club challenge if need be and arrive in plenty of time for the 18 holes plus lunch/dinner.

EDIT: Either lunch or dinner will do me. Bacon bap I had there last week was lovely and easily kept me going until 2:30pm, or whenever it was we finished the first 18 holes. After a quick 9 holes I probably won't be that hungry yet, so I'd vote for the after-match dinner I think.

So it looks as though it will need to be sometime in September. I'll see what dates are available.

Probably go with the par 3, 9 hole, 3 club effort to kick off and then the 18. We'll leave out lunch and do dinner instead, with coffee and bacon in the morning.

I will need an idea of numbers. Though I understand that you need a definate date. Cost is likely to be around the £40 mark I would have thought.
