Been hit by a ball (it hurt) I was behind my brother and ball ricocheted off a concrete tee marker.
I always shout fore if the ball is heading in the direction of anyone regardless of whether i think it will reach them or not.
In my younger days I was playing a society day with my football club at Temple Newsom in Leeds (muni)
Nothing too serious.
I was in a deep bunker and had already taken two shots before deciding that my third was coming out sideways.
with that I took my stance and a ball thudded into the sand less than 3 feet in front of me. No shout. I turned and there were two lads on fairway, one shouted "get on the practice ground" Red mist decended I I chased him 300 yards back up towrds the pro shop. He dropped his bag about 50yards in. When I didn't catch him I went back to his bag, tipped his clubs and balls on the floor and proceded to take my next bunker shot.
Strangely I din't see him again throughout my round. The lads I was playing me didn'y half give me some stick about it.... for months.
I have mellowed now (a little)
