As discussed in the "Nike Golf! Any Love???" thread, I'm selling my Nike irons:

Nike VR combo set:
7-PW - VR TW blades forged
4,5,6 - VR split cavity forged

Sets on Golfbidder are selling for £372,
I'm selling for £295 Plus P & P (probably between £6.00-£9.00). Alternatively they can be collected in person (Hertfordshire)

Reason for sale: I can't resist buying new clubs!! :(

I now have 3 sets of irons and have to drop this down to 2 sets to help pay for the set I just bought.
Reluctantly the VR irons lost the toss and are now looking for a loving new home.

I bought them in Oct 2009 from my pro at Aldwickbury Park Golf Club. Authenticity can be confirmed by checking with the pro there, Robin Turley.

My pro also put brand new grips on these 2 weeks ago, (before I decided to sell them :( ), and I have only played one round with the new grips).

They are 1/2 longer than standard and are set to 1 degree flat. Shafts are regular flex Dynamic Gold R300's.

During the adjustment to 1 degree flat, (carried out by Nike), 2 of the clubs have lost a little of the red painted line on the club head, (purely cosmetic) This can be seen in the photos.
The heads have typical marks that you would expect to see for clubs this age. The worst is a small nick on the PW, but again this is only cosmetic and doesn't affect playability.

Although I have owned them since October 2009, I have also played with other irons in that time, (4 different sets in total  ). Therefore they haven't seen constant use.

I would rate the grips 10/10, shafts 9/10 and heads 8/10.

Heres a link to a youtube clip showing Paul Casey's bag which is where I got the idea for the combo set.

Let me know if you would like any further information.

Rick I would love this set, they are my ideal set to be fair. Tried them a while ago and loved them, especially the blades in the set. Unfortunately I won't be buying, can't afford it ATM. Doh.....

If it helps, I would consider taking payment over a 3 month period, ie £100 per month. :)

Thanks for the offer but your 6 months too early in selling them. Can't do it with the money unfortunately unless I get loads of overtime next month.

I hope you still have these when I get my tax rebate. Should be a week or two though (or 6 knowing what they're like) :(
If you wanted them, I can bring them up to Beau Desert on the 23rd to save shipping costs. If your rebate hasn't come through by then, I'd consider taking a deposit and you can take the clubs and then pay the rest when you get the cash. :)

I'd like to say yes, but if i've got any sense i'd have to turn them down im afraid. I've been thinking of new irons for a while now, but my reason for wanting some is that I need stiff shafts. I have R300 in my MP-60's and I think I need S300. I really love them, they're pretty much my dream clubs, usually I would be impulsive and just go for it but I know it wouldn't be long before i'd be looking for a re-shaft or a different set with stiff shafts. Thanks though mate, that's a really great offer. If you do by chance have them with you at Beau, i'd like to have a look. My finances may have improved a bit by then and if so may not be able to resist.

hi

did you sell these?

thanks

Yes mate....losttheplot took them at BeauDesert...he handled them in the car park before we played, and as that constitutes a legally binding sale in some countries, they're now his.... :D :D

He hit them really well and was grinning like a bloody Cheshire Cat after I let him have them for almost nothing.. :D
