Footjoy DNA

Footjoy Europe have been RT'ing pro shops that tweet about having them in stock, all the pictures have been of the white DNA's only. Not sure if there is a staggered release or a delay with the black ones.

I ordered some black ones from the US, size 11N, wore them for 18 holes and they were too tight. Have a pair of 11m on their way from the states as we speak so I put the others on ebay!

Were they a lot cheaper in the US even including import taxes etc? If so where did you get them??

I buy a lot of Vokey and Cameron stuff from the US, have it all shipped to a buddy of mine and then sent over in one big box. The DNA's he picked up for me were $189, approx. £115 IIRC. He then ships the whole lot over for around $60, marked with a low value to keep import costs to a minimum.

We have them in the shop arrived yesterday, nice looking shoe

Tried them on today and they are lovely. The foam round the ankle really does mould to your foot.

Now to convince the missus that I need a new pair of shoes for the summer!

£139 inc. shoe bag at our pro. Had a look last night. Look pretty chavvy but comfortable. Might give them a try as my shoes are in a shocking state and I could do with a new pair for the year.

Seen them at both 169 and 129

Tried a pair on and must say I'm a bit disappointed

Very rigid , heavy and seem a bit big compared to the Adizeros I have been wearing - certainly don't feel like slippers from the box

Pro getting a smaller size and in a wide for me to try but after all the hype they aren't living up to it so far.

First bad review I have seen, not going to appeal to everyone I guess. Need to get along to a shop to try a pair on but don't really fancy going to my local AG as they always seem to give you what they have and I'd rather get a pair that fits properly. Hoping the FJ fitting truck comes my way soon so I can get measured up properly. I have the girliest feet in the world, I get blisters and aching feet in almost everything, this is probably because I get off the shelf size 9/10's. with no thought to width at all.

Well the size lower with a wider fit seem to fit a lot better so they have been purchased and will be in use tomorrow

Will see what all the fuss is about

Was reading golfwrx last night, and saw a few disgruntled buyers .... spikes being lost, and some comments about similar "adizero damage" too.

Well I have worn them for two rounds now so thought I would post an initial feeling about them

Comfort - they are ok , nice soft cushion under your feet with the foam layer and comfy around your ankle . Very stable when swinging

Style - best thing about them , they look very nice

Fit - they don't fit like slippers and so far I have a very nice blister on my left toe

Weight - not the lightest but don't feel heavy on the feet

Overall I would give them a 7/10

They are a decent shoe and happy with the look but nowhere near as comfortable as my Adizero's or as light. They styling is far better though. If they released Adizeros in a plain white I would easily take them over the DNA's.

I wouldn't say I was disappointed with them but I'm not massively impressed with them.

On soft greens they made the same ident on the green as my mates Adizeros.

Cheers for the write up, I'll try a pair when I get the chance as I'm looking for a lite summer shoe and it was a toss up between the DNA's or the new Puma offerings.

Well yesterday i wore them again and it was the first time that they didnt rip my feet apart. No new blisters on either foot so far.

I think the problem with the shoe is the toe cap - the leather is very soft around the shoe but they seem to have made the toe cap solid ( re-inforced ) and thats where my toes are rubbing against currently

Went for a Footjoy shoe fitting the other day and was told that the DNA's are a half size smaller than all the other Footjoy shoes. This is because the DNA's are made wider towards the front and as the fitter said, Footjoy want a golfers foot and toes to be allowed to spread a little when swinging to help promote stability.

You are right about the toe of the DNA's as well, the fitter told me there is a fibreglass cap over the toe area.

I got fitted 9.5 wide for all Footjoy shoes, but 9 wide for DNA's.

Gave the adizeros another go today, albeit with my heels taped up and the left one got chewed again. Annoying because i like the look of them but they won't be worn again, lightweight is good but the lack of breathability and comfort isn't worth it.

One slightly used pair of adizero ones for sale, low mileage, one careful owner!

My adipures were absolute agony when I got them, they causes massive blisters on the back of my heel. However bought some blister plasters and put cream all over my feet before wearing them, this did the trick but it took ages to wear them in. Shame cause then they eventually leaked but got another pair of adipures, slightly different model and these were comfort straight out the box.
