Football question.

Here's one for you.
It's normal time and the ref awards a pen. The taker takes it and it hits the post. The keeper went wrong way. The rebound comes back towards the penalty taker he lifts his leg to strike it an gets fould by a defender and tumbles to the ground. there is no other attacking or defending player near the ball
What happens now?
A. Play on
B. penalty with no further action against the defender
C. Penalty and red card for defender

I'd say it has to be C. If there is no one else covering then the defender is deemed 'last man' and it is surely a clear goalscoring opportunity.

You've more than enough credit in the bank, as far as I'm concerned. It was a bad'n though!!!!

The joke or the tackle .. both probably :).. seriously tho.. for me all tackles with 2 feet off the ground is straight red mate . no way on earth you can be in control of a tackle if your off the ground .. but sure its the same as the tackle from behind (tackle now not foul) & the not active in an offside position.. no consistency
then again maybe all the talking points such as these is what makes it a great conversation starter of a sport ..

The tackle. One of my mates (a red) said kompany's was worst. No way, johnno was committed from 5 yards out and he was off the ground, and was very close to lescott's ankle.

Kompany slid, so possibly could have pulled out of it, took it clean and wasn't much danger.
