IMO, heels parallel to the target line and 10-12

Absolutely bang on Bob, did his today and it worked a treat. Also used it for wee chips around the green and very effective, shot 77.

My pro advocates chipping with a 10/12 for alignment. I've been doing it for a while with good results too.
