In 5 lines you've summed up every single golf forum on the web.... although you missed out "What's the best ball?" and anything related to slow play. :)
 
Wow, who got out of bed on the wrong side this morning, lighten up mate, it's just a golf forum.

I like these forums and came here from another which had major hosting issues, tons of adverts etc. These are pretty good forums and if you can't get to the pub then forums are the next best option for folk who like a bit of like minded chant and banter, mud slinging etc. Shy timirous beasties need not apply.
 
Oh dear!

Some people take forums soooooooo seriously. Unless you have actually met other forum members they are just nameless faces with (often) ridiculously daft forum names!)

Some people get so upset when disagreements spring up in posts. Do these people agree with EVERYTHING anyone says in normal everyday life?
 
I was pretty much like the OP been registered to the site hopping around numerous golf forums and lurking for years. It wasn't until I started posting that I started to really enjoy this forum and let the other forum hopping slide. I'd say don't throw the baby out with the bath water just yet, continue to contribute and before you know it, it'll be the light nights and you'll be swing a club rather than wasting time on here.

Oh and a final point during the winter it always gets a bit stir crazy and posts regurgitated simply because we can't get out and play. Stick around and enjoy, I read a lot of 1st posts on threads and think I've heard it all before and move onto the next thread, try that.

To be fair the long hitting posts and some of the replies have had me in stiches - I was crying laughing at Oddsocks Dunlop driver thread.

also - If people are taking lessons themselves whats wrong with passing on ideas that work - people rarely say I don't want to share my secret!

Its good to talk but if you don't like the conversation do like you would in a pub (hopefully not a fun pub) just move the chat onto comething else or head off.... ahhh wait you just did. :)

On the other hand, I've been here about a month and I love it.

If he's too up himself to take some people's comments with a pinch of salt he isn't worth having in the online community. Toodle pip!
 
from the good ,the bad , & the ugly you will not be missed ,,why do some people think because they take part they will be missed when they deport ,not going to happen I'm sure he had some questions that got answered

so from what he says he obviously cares more about the bad ,not the good so that makes him ugly
