Got a message fromthe club captain earlier this week to ask if I wanted to be in his team for the Walker Cup. Effectively it's our Summer Texas Scramble Honours Board event.

Had a rubbish night's sleep, had bags under my eyes and haven't played for six weeks. To be honest it showed. Really solid contact on pretty much every shot but aim was off. However, when it mattered I held my own and we scored three birdies off my four tee shots. I chipped in with a few putts as well and obviously brought a few shots. We finished with 12 birdies six pars and with our handicap of 5.2 we romped home with a score of 53.8 beating 55.5 & 55.8.

So unbelievably I'm now on the Honours Board with the other guys and have a wedge of cash to spend in the pro shop :)

Always good to see your name in gold lettering but now it's about doing it for yourself. You must be hitting it well (despite being directionally challenged a few times) so take heart and keep going

:whoo::whoo: Well done Tiger.

Word of warning though, I won a foursomes honours board competition over two years ago, and the Club haver still not put it up.:mad:
